Training

e-DATA training(1) for value-added resellers(2) will begin soon.

Resellers must possess demonstrable (a) licensing by the authority having jurisdiction and (b) operating insurance.

Level 1 training

The primary component is Level 1 training, which is offered the first and third Monday* of every month at 9 a.m. U.S. Central time, via e-DATA’s conference call-in telephone number (coming soon).

  • Participants must have access to the e-DATA Web site during the session.
  • Participants must be able to e-mail from their company e-mail server to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it upon request.
  • Approximate session time is 55 minutes.
  • Prior enrollment is not necessary, however participants must be online before 9:05 a.m. U.S. Central time to avoid cancellation of the session.

Resellers are welcome to visit e-DATA's offices in Coppell, Texas, for Level 1 training.

Level 1 training participants will be provided a study manual and a course work syllabus derived from the e-DATA Web site. Upon completion, Level 1 training participants will be provided a multiple-choice open-book exam. The exam must be completed and returned to e-DATA within 10 days of receipt. A passing score is required.

Level 1 training achievement(3) enables the participant to receive:

  • 9 a.m.–5 p.m. U.S. Central time, Monday-Friday telesupport of system design and troubleshooting of up to a four-reader e-DATA Biometric Access Control system. Note: subsystem (e.g., video, intrusion, badging) support is not available.

Level 2 training

The secondary component is Level 2 training, which is available only in person (or a remote location by previous arrangement; contact e-DATA for details) at e-DATA's offices in Coppell, Texas. This is a one-day (eight hours) hands-on session, with an open-book exam administered. Scheduled by appointment through the 15th of each month, Level 2 training occurs on the last Thursday of the month*. The exam must be completed and returned to e-DATA within 10 days of receipt. A passing score is required.

Level 2 training achievement(4) enables the participant to receive:

  • Monday-Friday 24-hour technical telesupport of any size or scale e-DATA Biometric Access Control system. Note: subsystem (e.g., video, intrusion, badging) support is not available.
  • On-site technical troubleshooting, with the Level 2 certification holder, is available by appointment.

(1) There are no costs for training sessions other than those incurred by the participant
(2) End-user training is the responsibility of the end-user’s installing or servicing provider
(3) Level 1 training is not transferable
